Chevrolet released the first official pictures of the Equinox in 2010 a few days before its official debut at the Detroit Auto Show. Equinox's new exterior design draws its inspiration from the Malibu sedan and Chevrolet Traverse crossover. Equinox in 2010 goes on sale in mid-2009.
The Equinox is motorized by a choice of two engines: a 2.4L straight injected Ecotec I-4 engine, predictable at 182 hp and 30 mpg highway, 21 mpg in town and a 3.0L DOHC V-6 direct shot locomotive expected at 255 hp and 25 mpg highway, 18 mpg in town.
