A group of students filling in a Ford GT space frame of a Ford Five Hundred body shell - and throwing in some sheet metal for a Ford F-150 for good measure Flareside - sounds like a recipe for a Frankenstein with a blue oval distinctive.
It is, however, a dramatic combination of Ford GT design of signals in the frame of a Ford Five Hundred sedan, and an engineering feat of converting a front-engine, front wheel drive sedan in a mid-engine, rear wheel drive super car. The car was designed and built by students and staff of Washtenaw Community College, and made his debut at the Autorama custom car show in Detroit today.
